Programme

The conference will be held from Wednesday June 21, 2023 to Friday June 23, 2023.

The conference includes keynotes from Professor Divya P. Tolia-Kelly (University of Sussex) and Dr. Ramy Aly (The American University in Cairo), many panel sessions on divergent topics related to the conference theme, a presentation by Professor Emile Schrijver (Jewish Cultural Quarter) on the National Holocaust Museum which will be opening in Amsterdam in 2024, a curatorial talk with researcher and curator Nesli Gül on her most recent exhibition ‘Scattered – Hidden Narratives through Archives‘, an artist performance by poet Sarah Houmani, as well as social networking events with dinner and/or drinks in the evenings.

The conference will take place fully in-person, across various UvA locations within walking distance of each other: the Amsterdam University Library, BG2 and the Oudemanhuispoort.
